Comfortable room, excellent shower, we enjoyed a lovely big bathroom with a powerful shower and the convenience of free parking.

Scenic countryside views from the expanded garden area create a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for enjoying drinks at sunset. The historical charm of this old inn adds to its unique character, making it a cozy spot to unwind.

The loud pipework in the building wreaked havoc on sleep quality, resulting in three sleepless nights. I noticed poor maintenance with peeling paint in the bathrooms, and the bathroom door closed with a loud bang, disrupting anyone nearby. The breakfast experience was rather disappointing. the food lacked freshness and flavor. dining service could be confusing—on one occasion, missing menu items led to frustration when dining. the absence of a TV remote in the room felt like a simple oversight.

The room was spacious with a beautiful mountain view and a super comfy king bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, quickly providing what we needed, including a spare hairdryer. Breakfast had a good selection, and the overall atmosphere was cozy.

The Groes Inn boasts vintage charm with beautifully preserved decor, making it a delightful environment for seniors. The staff were exceptionally attentive, ensuring I received assistance promptly when needed, and the overall cleanliness was commendable.

The breathtaking view of mountains from my cozy room was simply the highlight! 🤩 Dinner was delicious, but the bathroom floor needs some TLC.

We had a lovely stay to celebrate Mothering Sunday, and they even made a reservation for us in the busy restaurant without us asking. The sun terrace and garden area were perfect spots to relax after an enjoyable dinner. The pillows in our room were a bit too soft for my liking, but overall, it was a great experience! 😊
